Sadie Gallaher

At about 4:45 Sunday morning, I woke up not feeling very well. I tried my best to sleep it off, but pretty well stayed up until Ethan woke up at 7:00. I was having contractions every half hour. I had a feeling it was going to happen TODAY. I went around the house cleaning everything in sight and making sure the boys had clean clothes put away in their drawers, dishes cleaned, etc.. I wanted everything to be easy for Kendall and whoever might help take care of the boys while I was away. After breakfast, we snapped a couple pictures and then headed out the door because my contractions were down to 3 minutes apart lasting a minute, sometimes longer, and we needed to drive all the way to Burlington. We dropped the boys off with Uncle Robert and headed out. It was snowing. The first snow of the season! We took it slow and checked into the hospital at 12:30pm. The pain was pretty intense and just got worse and worse. I didn't want an epidural and so I was feeling everything. Around 5:00 the doctor checked my progress. I was close, but she said it might be a while longer. At that point, I didn't think I could take much more pain so I asked the nurse for something to ease it, which she put into my IV. Then, at 5:56pm our miracle happened. Sadie was born! She is beautiful. She weighed 6lbs 11 1/2oz and was 19inches long. I got to hold her right away and warm her up and Daddy got to cut the umbilical cord. I just feel so blessed. I have the most amazing family. Grandma and Grandpa Gallaher and Church came to visit along with Aunt Mary and Uncle Bryan. Of course, Landon and Ethan were there, and they sure were happy. They didn't like her to cry, even though she hardly cried at all. They boys LOVE their sister. We couldn't be happier that our Sadie is here. We love you Sadie!
