Zoie lost a tooth! It took a lot of courage for this little gal. Her tooth was so wiggly that she could push it with her tongue and it would stick straight out! In fact, it got stuck that way as you will notice in her school picture. Haha! What a cutie. She was too afraid to let Daddy pull it out, but then Daddy promised her a prize if she would let him pull it. This lucky girl got a prize for getting her tooth pulled, and then another surprise from the tooth fairy.

Sunday Social
After stake conference, there was a Sunday social outside across from the temple. It was cute to see all of our children interacting with their friends.

Flute Day!
I got to attend Karen's flute festival day she hosted again. She puts so much work into them and brings out such talented flutists. It's something I look forward to each year now. This year's guest artist was Melissa Keeling, whom I got to meet previously at a flute festival event that I attended with Karen at MIZZOU (where Karen went to school for her Master's degree). So it was fun seeing her again. She is an electric flutist who plays with pedals and has an awesome head joint on her flute called a glissando which slides in and out of the the flute similar to the way a trombone works. So cool. I took the little kids to see her in concert the night before the festival. I also got to buy a CD from another great flutist, Rose Bishop. I'm grateful for music and being able to learn more about what I love to do.

Back to School
I was just not with it, and remembered as the kids were walking away that I hadn't taken their pictures for the first day of school. I did get pictures of the little girls before they headed off to school on picture day (along with little brother).
This year, Landon will be a sophomore, Ethan will be in 8th grade, Sadie in 3rd, Zoie in 2nd, and Oaklee will be in Kindergarten. I am hoping for an amazing year!

Family Vacation/Kendall and Joanne's 16th Anniversary
We got to head out on a family vacation. This year, we traveled to Gordonsville, Virginia and stayed at a resort. We chose a cabin to stay in, but across the street were some yurts. It was such a memorable trip. The only sad part of the experience was that Oaklee got some kind of a bug bite right between her eyes that made her face swell up for a couple of days. Poor girl. She was a good sport though. Also, Daddy got pretty sunburned. It even matched Sadie's shirt! Luckily, the rest of the trip was fantastic. We got to swim several times, explore a cave, visit a car museum, find our way through a maze, play miniature golf, walk around the grounds of the beautiful resort we were staying at, and we even got to go to a drive through zoo and have close encounters with the animals. They would come up to the car and get food from us. It was an amazing experience. We all loved it so much. It was a great trip, and I loved spending time away with the ones I love for our 16th anniversary. It's great to be able to have this family for eternity.
