Catch Up on Landon

I realize it has been FOREVER since I have posted anything. Life for the mom over here has been hectic. I had this English class that I was finishing up, and it was consuming every moment I had. So rather than blogging during Landon's naps, I would write papers. Well, good thing that is over with. No more school! For a while anyway. That was my last class, and I should be getting my Associates Degree from BYU-Idaho.
So let's talk about Landon!
Forever ago, I took him to the doctor for his 9 month check up. He is still in the 95th percentile for his height. He grew one inch. 28 1/2 inches tall. He went down in weight to the 90th percentile, but he gained one pound. 21 lbs, 14 oz.
Landon is growing like a weed! He has figured out how to do SO many things. This is one of my favorite things that he does: while I play the piano, he crawls over, pulls himself up using the bench, and then he REACHES those piano keys. I had to take a picture and a video. This was a while ago, he is very much a pro at this now.
I also taught him "so big." He reaches his hands up in the air.
Landon likes "Baby Einstein" movies. His favorite parts are when the puppets come on. He always shrieks in excitement.

About 3 weeks ago, Landon fell down the stairs. I didn't realize the door was left open when I let Landon down to crawl around. He would normally follow me around in the kitchen while I was working. Suddenly, I got a horrible feeling, looked around for Landon, and saw the basement door open...so I screamed! Kendall looked over when he heard me, and saw Landon as he hit the floor. We rushed him to the emergency room. Luckily nothing major happened. He got some bruises on his head, but everything else looked OK. He apparently slid down the stairs on his tummy, rather than tumble, so no broken bones...or skull. Thank goodness Landon has angels watching out for him.
Landon doesn't really like to eat from a spoon. He likes to feed himself, so for a while, the only way I could get him to eat was to pile all the food on his tray and let him scoop it up with his little fingers. This particular morning, Landon had oatmeal. Amazing, that even with food all over his face and in his hair, he is still cuter than cute!

Landon really likes strings. He always sucks on the strings of my hoodies and such. Well, he wore shorts that had his very own draw string. He was thrilled.
Just a darling little boy.
While Grandma Church was out to see Aunt Cindy with her new baby Ritter, Landon and I took Aunt Mary to the dentist. The dentist, of course, wanted to see Landon and gave him a tooth brush for his new teeth. Landon LOVES to brush his teeth. He and I brush our teeth together every night before bed.
Now that Landon doesn't sleep in the bassinet, he's realized that he likes to sleep on his stomach with his little fanny in the air.
One of Landon's new favorite things to do is to stand up against the doors, walls, the washer and dryer, and pound, pound, pound!
What would we do without little Landon?
If Landon only knew pacifiers weren't toys, and that sucking on them is what babies are suppose to do. He thinks he is being so silly with a paci in his mouth. They are scattered all over the place in his room. They're just toys to him. He hated these when he was a tiny baby...so they turned into toys. Just another thing that makes me LOVE Landon.

Even though I get to see Landon in real life, I still love to look at your blog. This post must have taken you forever to do with all the pictures and videos. Thank you. I love it! I love you, too.
