Zoie loved Mrs. Patrick as her 1st grade teacher. She has been really missing her.
I wrote a note to her teacher to let her know just how much she meant to Zoie:
I have to tell you...
On the last day of school, as I was helping Zoie out of the car when we got home, she said, "I miss Mrs. Patrick." Then, she started to tear up. I told her it was okay to feel sat that school was over. I told her about my 3rd grade teacher that I loved and how I cried when because I would miss her when I was little. A little while later, I heard her crying, and I just rocked her while she sobbed for her wonderful teacher she is going to miss. Thank you for loving your students. Zoie sure loves you. ❤
Later, Mrs. Patrick wrote back with this reply:
...This brought tears to my eyes! Zoie was such a blessing in my classroom! It was wonderful to see her begin to blossom out of her shyness into a little girl who became so confident and animated when she reads! I know that she is going to continue to excel in school. Tell her I will miss her too, but look forward to giving her a hug the next time I see her! ❤
