Park Play Date

It's spring time! Sing-a-ling-a-ling time!
Because of this beautiful weather, we had the opportunity to meet up with some friends at the park. It was great fun! The boys were so cute to push the little ones on the swings too. All I had to do was sit on the park bench, most of the time, and watch all of the kids have a great time!
It was so cute to see Sadie and Juliana outside. At first, they just stood in amazement. They watched the boys play and couldn't believe they too were experiencing the outdoors! After being awe struck, they went to business, playing their little hearts out.

Sadie Lou Who

Spring is in the air! We are loving this amazing weather. We are SO excited to be able to go outdoors!
We are also very excited about something else. Sadie can wear her hair in a pony tail. Adorable!

Sadie at Her Finest

What a fun girl this Sadie is. She has a new favorite toy as of late. It is the boys' ride on toy, Thomas the Train. She loves to be pushed on it and plays with it a lot.
Also, she is always finding something to get into and wants to be big like everyone else. She runs to the refrigerator the moment it opens and tries to find something to pull out of it.
She and Juliana love to empty out the entire toy bucket and scatter toys throughout the living room and kitchen. Sadie is proud to have learned how to climb into her toy bucket in order to reach higher up onto the piano. She is constantly climbing up onto the kitchen table, and I have caught her several times pushing the Thomas the Train to over to the counter tops in the kitchen so she can climb up on top of the train to reach things off of the counter.
Sadie loves to help in the kitchen. She likes to be right in the middle of everything. She thinks she needs to help make dinner; so I pull a bucket over for her to stand on to help me out.
The house rarely looks uncluttered anymore with the help of two active toddlers running around most of the time. Oh the kitchen floor! It's unbelievable what it looks like after the girls eat just one meal! Oh how cute Sadie can be though. She and Juliana were adorable to see playing "house" in Grandma Church's play room. Juliana was fixing the food and placing at the table for Sadie. They were having so much fun.  I can't believe they are big enough to play make believe!

FHE

Monday night is family home evening night at our house, and we all have jobs to do. Ethan was in charge of the songs we sang this particular Monday and wanted to pull out Elvis the elephant to help lead the song. Juliana and Sadie stood front and center! They were very curious about that elephant!

On the Mend

I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel! We are feeling SO much better! Ethan had tons of make up work he finished like a pro, even with Sadie's help. Sadie is getting back to her playful, silly self. She is also finding things she likes to eat again. Yay! Peanut butter on a spoon is a winner! And of course, she has to get back to being mischievous! Hooray for healthy kids!

Oh Poo, We've Had the Flu

Oh my.
What a sick streak we've had at the Gallaher house. It all started with the croup for Sadie. After going to the doctor, she was given some medicine to keep her lungs clear. She was on the mend, doing much better, when Ethan got the croup. He missed a couple days of school. Then, he was feeling much better and so he went back to school. Then, Valentine's time, Landon came home from school with the flu. It took him like 4 days to get over it, and then Ethan caught the flu. Sadie was next, of course. Ethan took about 5 or 6 days, and Sadie about the same amount of time to get over the flu. Then, wouldn't you know it, mom got sick, luckily for only a day with the flu. Thank goodness the flu is over with, but now, Landon has something like the croup, Sadie still has a cough and runny nose, and mom has some kind of cold. Oh to be well again. We will be so grateful for good health and spring to come!
One day while Ethan was home sick, I was reading him stories in his bedroom. I looked over, and sick little Sadie had fallen asleep on the floor between the dresser and the wall. Poor girl. Her appetite has disappeared and I am desperately trying to help her get it back. She has a weight check in March, and all of this flu business has not helped the situation. I think she has lost weight again. In attempts to find foods that she wants, I made a "nibble tray." It seemed like a good idea, but it ended up dumped out onto the floor. Nice try. I guess I will just have to be patient and hope Sadie's appetite comes back. I just want everyone to be healthy!!! I have to be grateful though, that I have been as healthy as I have been in order to take care of everyone else. Moms should not be allowed to get sick.
