A Very Special Day

What a wonderful day!
Kendall had the privilege of blessing his brand new baby girl, Zoie. He also had the privilege of baptizing and confirming Landon the very same day!
Not only that, but our baby cousin Jaxon was blessed that day too!
After Landon's baptism, some of the family also came over to the house to celebrate Landon's 8th birthday. Aunt Sue and cousin Daxton even came all the way from Quincy to see Zoie and Landon! We loved having family come show their love and support.
We are SO proud of Landon for choosing to be baptized. He is such a great example.

Happy 4th of July!

Yay! Happy 4th of July!
We invited the Christensens, some of our close friends, to come to Landon's baptism on Sunday. When they said they could come out, we were SO excited and decided to have a BBQ with them and our other close friends, the Storruds, the night before. The Christenses drove 4 hours to get here just for Landon! Landon felt so special.
We had LOTS of fun!
Landon requested red, white, and blue cupcakes in cones, along with a fun Pinata for his birthday celebration with his friends. Sadie rode along with me to do all of the party shopping. She looked so cute.
The Storruds brought along some yummy treats to the BBQ. Gina made some tasty fruit pizzas, and Phil carved the coolest watermelon shark!
After eating all of the yummy food, the kids went out to hit the minion Pinata.
What a fun way to spend the 4th of July!

The Dreaded Wedding Cake Project

We didn't get to celebrate Landon's birthday much on his actual birthday this year.
We had to save celebrating for the weekend because I was lunatic enough to accept a cake project requested for July 3rd. I was also a lunatic because it was my son's birthday, and lunatic because I just barely had a baby, and lunatic because it was the 4th of July weekend and I had a whole list of preparations for company, birthday celebrations for Landon, Landon's baptism and Zoie's baby blessing. It was also hectic with a kitchen project going on at my house.  I ended up at my mom's house, along with with all of the kids, for a couple of days. You can tell that I did NOTHING but work on a cake because the boys spent all day on their tablets, and Sadie had quite the messy hair. The only time I ever sat down for a break was to change the girls diapers, feed the kids, and feed baby Zoie. It took me an entire day just to make all of the gum paste flowers for the cake. Then, I spent all of the next day (Landon's birthday) working on the cake. I kept on working through the night until about 3 in the morning before the cake was completed. Sadie slept in a play pen and Zoie slept next to me in her car seat while I worked away. People have NO idea what it takes to make these cakes when they order them. The silly lady that ordered this cake said she just wanted this simple cake, nothing extravagant. Oh my goodness. I would hate to see what her definition of extravagant is. Haha. I finally completed the wedding cake with all of these homemade flowers on it. Then, I finished it off (request of the bride as a surprise for her husband) with Captain America peeking out of the bottom of the cake. I don't think my body will ever be able to catch up on sleep now. Especially with getting up all night long to feed the baby for who knows how long. Oh my. Eventually, I will survive. :)

Look Who's 8!

Our Landon is 8 years old!
It's hard not to be proud of Landon. He has a big heart. He tries so hard to make good choices. He's a great role model for his brother and sisters. He likes to help take care of them. He shows his love for them every day through his actions. Landon is also very smart in many ways. We are witnessing the life of one of the greats!

Play Date

Aunt Sarah planned a play date at the park with the Gallaher cousins. We had a lot of fun!
It was our first time meeting baby Jaxon. He is a very handsome boy!

Doll House

I had to work on a wedding cake at Grandma Church's house because my kitchen was under construction. So, little Sadie played upstairs with Grandma. They played with the doll house. I love how Sadie has the mom and dad sitting at the table with a giant plate of giant waffles.  :)
