Cardboard House

New stoves come in big boxes! What a perfect box for the boys to turn into a play house! Daddy helped cut the holes out for the door and window. Then, Landon used string to make it look like a real window. What a clever boy! They played and played in their house for many days. It was so sad when it fell apart.

Soccer Games

Landon did a great job playing soccer this year. It was so fun to watch him play. He was about the only one who knew what he was doing on his team for a while. He knew which goal to kick the ball into and sometimes was the only one to score for his team. As the month went on, other kids on his team figured out which goal to kick the ball into. He got a bit frustrated when he didn't get to score, but he learned to just play his best, and have fun! Way to go Landon!

Easter Day

Easter morning, Landon and Ethan woke up and had to find their hidden Easter baskets. They went to bed really well the night before because they knew who would be hopping through the house that night.
Some of the things they found in their baskets were coins! The boys couldn't wait to put the coins they found in their piggy banks. The scripture character action figures that they found in their Easter baskets were a big hit.
Before church, we headed over to the Gallaher's for an amazing Easter lunch. Apparently the Easter bunny hopped through their house too!
After church, we enjoyed another nice meal at the Church's.
What a Happy Easter!
The best part about Easter was hearing the boys tell the story of Jesus. We started a new tradition this year that our home teachers shared with us. It was called the 12 days of Easter. It involved 1 dozen of plastic Easter eggs. Each day, leading up to Easter day, there was a scripture that told a portion of the Easter story, and inside the egg was a representation of what we read in the scripture (a sacrament cup, a round stone, thorns, nails, etc). The boys couldn't wait to find out each night what was in the next egg. Both of them know the Easter story now and are really good at telling it. It made Easter special.

Easter Egg Hunts

The boys had a couple of Easter egg hunts they got to go on. The first one was put on by a lady from church. It was tons of fun. The boys loved it. She even had pigs to see. Ethan was more interested than Landon was to see the pigs. Too smelly for Landon. The second Easter egg hunt was put on at the fire station. Both were fun events, and the boys loved having all that candy!

Soccer Practice

Landon got involved with soccer through the YMCA during the month of April. He loved it! These are pictures of him at one of his soccer practices. His team was called the Hurricanes. Ethan really wanted to play too, but he was a good sport and patiently played on the sidelines while we watched Landon.
