Ethan's Engines
Ethan has really come to like cars and fire engines, and anything with a motor. When he hears a truck drive past the house, he stops and goes "Ooo Ooo!" That's his fire engine noise, but it is the sound he uses for all of his engines. I love to watch him play with his cars.
Probably the best part about Ethan making sound affects is how cute his lips look when he does it. They make the perfect little O.
Adorable!

Potty Training
Our lives will never be the same. No more battles with the diaper changes for one child. Our Landon is now completely potty trained and it is amazing! I pushed the laundry hamper, that has a lid that closes down over the top, up against the vanity in the bathroom. Landon is able to climb up on it and wash his hands all by himself. Ethan actually climbs up there with Landon too while he washes his hands. Ethan likes to do everything Landon does. It must have been a magic move with the hamper, though, because since then, Landon has been wanting to go on the potty. Amazingly too, he's dry though the night.
Learning to go # 2 on the potty was a bit more difficult. Kendall told Landon that if he went poo poo on the potty, that he would bring Landon home a big present. Well, the day it happened we were all super excited so we took Landon to the store that night and let him pick out a toy. He chose this Thomas Train track with electric trains. He loves it, and has been very successful on the potty ever since.
Exhausted
This is a very tired little boy.
Speaking of tired, it isn't unusual to find Daddy passed out in a random place. This particular day, he found my pink blanket, wrapped himself up into a little cocoon and fell asleep right in the middle of the walkway from the living room to the kitchen. We're so lucky to have a Daddy that works so hard, but poor guy. We love you!
Building the Temple
Ever since we took Landon to see the Nauvoo Pageant, he has been talking about the temple, and wanting to go inside. Throughout the pageant, it shows them building the Nauvoo Temple, and then at the end, they show the whole finished temple. The pioneers were walking in and out of the temple; at that point, Landon grabbed his shoes he had kicked off, and acted like he was going to walk up onto the stage. He said, "I'm going in there!" Every time we drive past the temple, Landon says, "There's the beautiful temple! I'm going to go in it when I'm 12." Anyway. He is always "building the temple" and this time He built one around Daisy using the groceries we had bought. Later, he was walking between his stacked towers and said, "Look Mom! I'm going in the temple!"

4 Years
August 19 was our 4 year Wedding Anniversary!
I attempted to make a romantic dinner. We even got to eat dinner alone while my mom watched the boys.
I also got Ken some lovely flowers and attempted to decorate a cheesecake.
Landon added some of his beautiful flowers to our Anniversary Cake. Landon was convinced that it was Daddy's birthday. There were candles and a cake, what else could it mean?
I love you Ken!
You're my dream come true.
