They boys headed off and spent a few days at young men's camp. The theme was "Son's of Thunder."

In Rememberance
I had the opportunity to participate in a little commemoration of the prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum Smith on the anniversary of their martydom. I got to sing while Tracey Grow accompanied me, and our neighbors, the Lichner family, participated in it too. I am grateful for opportunities like this that help me feel gratitude for those who paved the way for Christ's Church to be restored for me and my loved ones to be a part of today. Here we stood with some missionaries who acted the parts of Hyrum and Joseph in front of the burial sight of Joseph and Emma.

Mud Puddles!
What could be more amazing than playing in a mud puddle?
Grayson and Oaklee discovered this delight. I did have to stop Grayson from drinking the puddle water though. Ha-ha!

Sunset By the Mississippi
We met up with Grandma Church to watch the Sunset by the Mississippi show down on the flats. My cousin, Annette Baird, has a daughter who is serving a mission here as a member of the Nauvoo Brass Band. Her name is Shayla, and she plays the clarinet. It was fun to see her play.

The Children and Flowers are Blooming
