This year for Easter, we decided to share some pictures with our next door neighbor.

Hop Little Bunny. Hop, Hop Hop!
Sadie had earned some bunny ears at school, and then I found some more at Dollar General for the other kids. They had a "dress like a bunny" day at school. Oaklee and Grayson had to get involved too, and then Odie did too, of course.

Dr. Seuss Day
One of my favorite things about our school is that we turn Dr. Seuss day into an entire week. The kids read books, make crafts, and dress up like Dr. Seuss characters all week long. This craft is one of my favorite things that Kindergarten does. Zoie is the cutest "Cat in the Hat."

It has been a while since we have been to church in person. It was a great day! Later, we also got to go for a walk on the flats with our Compton cousins.

A Night Out with Kendall
Ken's best friend, Bret Allen, got married, and we got to go. I jokingly told Kendall that Bret and Trisha need to get married every weekend so that Ken will take me out. I was SO excited to go on a date with Ken. The wedding was in the upstairs of Bret's barn. He is really talented with lights and the inside of the barn looked amazing. I got to make them a little wedding cake too. Too bad I didn't get a picture of the bride and groom, but Trisha did send me some pictures of Ken and me dancing. She said they are "proof." Proof that we went on a date and that Ken was dancing and smiling. :) Good times!

Dog Bite
It was one of those horrible, terrible, no good, very bad days. I got distracted, somehow missed my reminder alarm, and was called up by the school; they were wondering if anyone was going to pick up the kids. I said I lost track of time and would hurry over to the school. Well, loading Oaklee and Grayson into the van is always a chore, especially when running behind. That was the first issue. Then, I turned down Fulmer Street instead of the way I usually go. That was a mistake. There were some kids out walking their dogs who went ballistic as I was trying to slowly drive past them. One of the kids lost their grip on the leash and a dog ran right up to the car. I was afraid of running them over, so stopped. We realized that the leash was stuck under my back tire. I got out, tried to hand the little dog (a Shia-tzu) to the oldest girl so that I could pull the car forward without running the dog over and release the leash. The little dog was surprisingly vicious and tried biting me. Then, the bigger dog pulled away from the girl and grabbed a hold of my arm with its teeth. Luckily, I was wearing my jean jacket and it protected me some, but my arm sure is sore now. We finally got the dogs unstuck and the leashes back in the hands of the kids, and I finally made it to the school to pick up my poor neglected kiddos.

Squirrel!
There are Covid restrictions that don't allow us to go into the kids' jiu jitsu classes and watch them right now. So, while waiting in the car, we found a squirrel near our van who was great entertainment.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
These Irish kids got dressed up in green. Then, we got together with our Compton cousins at Grandma and Grandpa Church's house for a little St. Patrick's day fun. Ethan was being super friendly with his little cousins and helped them have a good time.

Silly Grandpa
Lisa and I were asked to make up a silly parody of the song, "Sisters, Sisters" for a relief society activity. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's to video record and Grandpa was great at entertaining the little ones, as always.

Star Gazing and Sleepover
Sadie loves everything science, and she wanted to set up her telescope and do some star gazing. Oaklee was in on it too. They had a sleepover in the library and tried out some star gazing with Daddy before they fell asleep. Such cuties.

Picnic in the Clubhouses
The weather has been good to us. Little Oaklee and Grayson got to have a picnic in their "clubhouse." They were pretty excited about it.

The Clubhouse
After getting the new toy kitchen, the kids moved their other play kitchen into their "clubhouse." They have been enjoying the outdoors with this nice weather and have been playing lots and lots in their clubhouse. They used chalk to draw flowers out front, and on the inside they drew a clock, a television and a rug and such. It has been a blast for them.
