The weather is unusually warm for November. We invited cousin Danny over and just had to play outside. Everyone was so silly and had so much fun.

Meet Roo
We have great news! The Compton family has moved to town. They are staying with Grandma and Grandpa Church, temporarily, until their house is available to move into. In the meantime, we are dog sitting Roo, their family dog. All of the kids are pretty excited about having her stay with us.

Family Pictures 2017
While the Compton's were here for a visit at Thanksgiving, Dan took some pictures for us. I LOVE them!

Chicago
On Grandpa Gallaher's birthday, he and Grandma brought us along with them on a trip to Chicago!
When we arrived, we visited the City Museum where we saw lots of different animal scenes, ancient Egyptian tombs, mummies, and artifacts, and more. We even got to see the skeleton of "Sue" the T-Rex. Then, we made our way over to Jurassic World, where we saw realistic, moving dinosaurs. This was the boys favorite part of the visit that first day.
Then, we stayed the night in a nice hotel, right in the middle of the city. Landon and Ethan got to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa, while the girls stayed in a room next door with Mom and Dad.
The next morning, we made our way to the Museum of Science and Industry. This was a really neat place. We went on a tour inside an actual submarine from WWII that had been captured by the US. We also were able to go on a tour of a coal mine, which was really neat too. We also saw a place called Robot Revolution that had many, many different kinds of robots. There were several other things we saw at the museum too, including airplanes, train engines, and even an exquisite fairy-tale doll castle.
The trip was made complete with a visit to Santa, right there in the museum.
We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Gallaher, and we loved spending time and making memories with them.

Wiped Out
Today we had Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Gallaher's house. When we got home Zoie was playing down in the basement by herself. She was loudly singing away, like she often does. After a while, the rest of us noticed she was really quiet. I asked Ethan to go check on her, but he couldn't find her anywhere. I went down and found her back behind the baby gate by the TV. She had fallen asleep like this. She is starting to get a pretty mean cold, and with all of today's events, she was wiped out. I can't believe she fell asleep right there.

Makeup
This sweet girl wanted to have her makeup done again. We got dressed up to go to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Church's house. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but she has blue eye shadow on, mascara, pink lip gloss, blush, and we colored her eyebrows in.
