Swimming Lessons

I am so proud of my boys! Landon and Ethan are both taking swimming lessons this year. Landon is a little behind where he should be because last year I had a broken foot and kept me from getting the boys involved in much during the summer. The year before that, I had little Landon signed up for lessons. He absolutely hated it because he said it was too cold and just spent the days crying and not getting in the water. That year, he didn't learn much. So I have been so proud of the boys this year. They are in the same class right now, and both are progressing so fast. Yesterday, Landon put his whole head under the water for the first time, and today, Ethan did! Both were having a blasts diving in the water to get the toy rings. YEA! I am so happy they like the water now! Way to go boys! We will probably sign up for another 2 week session so they can move up another level and get caught up with the other kids. Cousin Devon is also going to swimming lessons with us too. He is a couple levels ahead of my boys, and is doing great too! I think Landon can catch up to him soon at the rate he has been progressing. Such a grown up kid!

Just Loungin'

Ethan flipped up the bottom of the recliner, kicked up his feet so he could relax. I just thought he looked cute in that enormous chair.

Turtles and Flowers

We've seen quite a few turtles this summer. This first one was a snapper. The boys were a little nervous when they found out what snappers do and told Dad to keep driving. Then there are some lovely flowers from our yard (random). Then Daddy brought home a nice turtle for the boys to see. Ethan wished we could keep it. We let it go in the field behind our house.

Visiting Nauvoo

The boys and I have made a goal to have a special activity of the day every day this summer. This day we decided to tour Nauvoo. The boys had a blast! They didn't want the day to end.

School's Out

Landon has finished Kindergarten! I can't believe it. It was such an amazing student and his teachers loved him. He earned the citizenship award because he is just such a great boy! Mommy and Daddy are SO proud of Landon! Here are pictures with his teacher Mrs. Haas and his teacher aid Mrs. Reinhardt.

Picnic With Sarah

Aunt Sarah invited Ethan and I out for a picnic at the park. Ethan had lots of fun playing on the cool playground!

The Cookie Baker

Ethan loves to help out in the kitchen, and he LOVES to make cookies. He was so proud of this new recipe we mixed up. They were cookies from his book, "How Do Dinosaurs Eat Cookies." This recipe was called Cinamasaurous Rex. They turned out pretty tasty!

Cake decorating can be time consuming, especially when I have more than one to do in a week. This particular week, I made like 6 cakes. One cake decorating day, Ethan waited so patiently for me to go outside and play with him. By the time I finished up, he had fallen asleep in the chair. Poor guy.

Mother's Day

I love being a mom!

Crafts

The boys can't get enough of crafts. They can spend so much time creating things. Ethan is getting so good at coloring. His Sunbeam teachers have commented on how well Ethan colors and how much he seems to like doing it. I went to pick Ethan after his class a couple Sunday's ago and a boy Landon's age was in the classroom. He asked the teacher, "Does that little boy color better than me?" It was so cute. Ethan really is artistic and so is Landon.
