Church Family Reunion 2011

I have a lot of catching up to do in recording the events in this Gallaher family. There will be many posts to come following this one.
We were lucky enough to get away for a few days out to the Church family reunion. We all stayed in a ginormous house on the beach. It was amazing. There was room for everyone in my large family to stay at the house. It was a fun trip to Mertyl Beach!

The beach house we stayed at:
This was Landon and Ethan's first experience by the ocean. Here are the cuties walking to the ocean from the beach house. The ocean was right behind the beach house.
The boys had fun finding shells and running from the waves with their cousins.
Here is Aunt Allison with one of the newest baby girls!
One of the adventurous parts of the ocean was searching for sea shells.
A bunch of the family out on the beach:
Landon and Ethan loved playing in the sand, but both were very hesitant to actually get in the water. They know the ocean is where sharks live, and they were determined not to meet up with one.

Ritter is a great little swimmer.
Payton is another water lover.
Landon wasn't too sure about mom letting go of him in the water.

Landon enjoyed the water best when he wasn't left treading deep waters.

Ryan was prepared for some snorkling.
Daddy relaxed when he had the chance.

There was an attempt made to photgaph all of the cousins together. Ethan was too tired for this business.

We tried to add Ethan into this picture.
We had as much fun as we possibly could before it was time to drive back home.

Our loot of sea shells we found:
We love and miss the ocean, but not as badly as we love and miss everyone in the Church family!

Pumpkin Patch

Landon's pre-k class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Ethan and I tagged along and both of the boys had an amazing time. There were so many fun activities for children. We'll have to go back again next year!

Landon liked the bird houses made from dried gourdes.
There were so many fun attractions: a slide made from pcv pipes, a giant sandbox filled with corn, a regular sandbox, a wooden fire truck, a corn maze and more. The children also took a wagon ride out to pick a pumpkin right out of the pumpkin patch.
One of Landon's favorite things about the field trip was making corn angels.

Energizer Bunny

Ethan is filled with so much energy every day. He wakes up bright and early, and then he plays and plays. He is quite comparable to the "Energizer Bunny." Then, all of the sudden, he crashes."
He often sleeps with his eyes open. So maybe he's never really asleep. He keeps going and going and going and going.....
