Outdoors with Landon

We can't get enough of this amazing Autumn weather! It's not too cold, beautiful out, and perfect for playing. Landon spent some time outside while Ethan napped.

Landon likes to swing "slowly" on the swings.
Somersault!

Here, Landon is looking out a window of the little play fort daddy is building in the back yard.

Autumn Time

Well, I've been taking a photography class. I'm starting up the second course this week. I haven't really become amazing yet. I'm still learning the concepts and trying to apply them. I have loads of work ahead of me. It is so fun though. Here are a few pictures that I took out in our back yard.
The field behind our house has beans that were recently harvested. This is looking out back behind our house before the harvest. I zoomed in so that the top of the temple can be seen. I need a better lense so that I can actually zoom in with clarity,  but I still think this picture is neat.
Up close and personal with the beans.
A wishing weed.

Sleepy Ethan

Little Ethan fell asleep on a kitchen chair while watching movies on the computer with Landon. He looks so sweet.

Camera Fun

I have been taking a photography class. I'm not amazing, and I need a lot of work. It's fun experimenting. I look at everything differently. It seems like I'm thinking of how I could photograph nearly everything I see now. These two photos I took in a moving vehicle, and I like how they turned out.

Book Order

Landon brought home his first book order form during the first week or two of school, and I was so excited! I LOVED book orders when I was young. Landon and I sat down and circled nearly every book in the order form. We wanted nearly all of them, but then we narrowed them down. We still ended up with a big heap of books that we ordered. The day Landon's books arrived at school, his teacher put them in his back pack for him. I arrived at the school to pick him up, and when I pulled up, Landon walked over slower than usual. He yelled in a straining voice, "Mom! I got those books you ordered." Then, hardly able to move he made his way to the car. Next time, we'll be a little less compulsive when it comes to the book ordering. It was worth it, though. Landon LOVES to read.
I love to find him reading.

Preschool Update

Landon is loving preschool! At the end of each day, I routinely ask Landon what his favorite part of the day was. Lately, he responds with the same answer: "Going to school."
Here is Landon's adorable school picture.
Landon loves his teacher, Mrs. Bolton.
Landon's class has been studying different types of bugs. They even had a pet caterpillar that they observed as it went through the process of turning into a butterfly. Landon has enjoyed everything about school and loves the fun projects.
