Thing 1 & Thing 2

Landon was placed here on this earth with a huge responsibility. He'll have to be a good example because his little brother Ethan is all about doing exactly what he sees Landon do. Everything done in the Gallaher house is done in two's. Everything Landon says and does is mimicked by Ethan. We're going to have to start calling them Thing 1 and Thing 2.

These two boys are completely irresistible.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Gallaher!

Everyone surprised Grandpa Gallaher at Grandpa John's Cafe for his birthday.
Everyone waits for him to stroll into the room.
SURPRISE!
We all enjoyed the buffet and ate birthday cake.
We even got to watch him open some gifts.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!

Story Time

Landon and Ethan are getting better and better about playing nicely together. The other day, Landon got a book out and asked Ethan to sit on his lap so that he could read to him. It was so cute. (Too bad Landon's eyes look a little goofy, but the picture is so sweet.)

KithchenAid

My amazing husband thought it would be a good idea to surprise me with a KitchenAid for my birthday. Unfortunately, we got it in the mail, and it looked like this:
Snapped!
So my genius of a husband took pictures and emailed the seller who responded with, "Wow, that is bad. Keep the parts. Maybe you can use the bowl or something." We were refunded the money spent.
So Ken got to looking around, and found a part in order to fix my KitchenAid. He had to paint the part to match, and he ended up painting my entire KitchenAid this new blue, which I like even better than the original color. It looks amazing, and what is even more amazing is that my KitchenAid works! I'm so glad it busted in the mail and Kendall could fix it. I'm definitely going to get my money's worth out of this one!
Thank you Kendall. I love it, and I LOVE YOU!

Halloween!

The boys were adorable this year. Landon was a "fire fire" and Ethan was a Dalmatian dog. A day or so before trick or treat night, a neighbor stopped by and asked Landon what he was going to be for Halloween. He asked him if Landon was going to be something funny, and Landon said, "No! I'm going to be cool. I'm going to be a fire fire!" The boys had a blast trick-or-treating this year. Ethan thought it was awesome. We tried to get pictures of them in their costumes, but they were too excited to stand together long for the camera. You can see the pumpkin that the boys painted next to Landon.
Brenna Lillie came along trick-or-treating with all of us.
(Notice the rocks dumped onto the sidewalk. Landon used his dump truck to "build a road.")
Our first stop. You can see Ethan's hand reaching out from behind the pillar.
We ended up with way too much candy.
Uncle Robert sat out front of his house passing out candy. Landon wasn't too sure about him, but when he saw Ethan digging in the bucket for candy, and heard Robert's voice, he wasn't fooled any longer.
I forgot to take my camera with me to the pumpkin walk to the next day, but Sarah's blog has a bunch of pictures of the neat pumpkins. I think my mom said she carved the "Wicked" pumpkin. Grandma and Grandpa Gallaher also had a party that night, Sarah has some pictures from that too.
We had a Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving/Painting

The boys had a fun time with the pumpkins this year. They helped me scoop out all of the insides. Landon, like last Halloween, thought it was gross. Ethan seemed to enjoy it.
Cheese!
Ethan somehow ended up with a pumpkin seed earring dangling fro his ear.

I don't quite feel comfortable with the boys actually carving themselves pumpkins, so the next best thing was to paint them. They boys used daddy's old t-shirts as smocks. We set them up a little work station out in the garage, and they painted away.
