Remodeling

Ken has taken on some projects around the house. First of all, he's finishing the basement. When it's finished, there will be a big game room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and then the storage room. We're very excited. I'll have to post some pictures I have taken of his progress on that later. I wanted to show pictures of Ken tearing out the bathroom shower upstairs. We are remodeling this bathroom, and it's a good thing because we found mold! It was SO gross. See for yourself.
Luckily, Ken got the mold problem under control after tearing out all of the sheet rock, insulation, and everything.
So the shower and tub that will replace our last one is going to be so much fun! It's a steam shower with all sorts of cool features. You'll have to ask Kendall to know all of the details. All I know is that it's cool because Landon thinks it's cool.
If you hadn't noticed. Our tub was in our kitchen for a while, but don't worry, it's in the upstairs bedroom now. Ha-ha. Landon loved playing in the empty tub, but if he wasn't doing that, he was fixing supper.
We have the future bob sledding team for the Winter Olympics living at our house. Didn't you know that they used bathtubs to practice in? Just watch "Cool Runnings." Or maybe they're practicing to be NASCAR champions.
I tell you what...The cutest boys live in this house. I love it!

mmm...STRAWBERRIES

It has been difficult to find things that Landon likes to eat. He only eats two things from a spoon...oatmeal for breakfast (sometimes he spits it out too!) and any kind of meat. Oh. I'm referring to the food out of the baby jars. He does better if he can feed himself, but it is still a challenge to find foods that he likes. This is one of the foods he will eat completely gone...without throwing any onto the floor. It's amazing! He LOVES strawberries.

The Rains Came Down and the Floods Came Up....

At the beginning of this month, Ken, Landon and I decided to go for a drive and take pictures of some of the places where the river had risen extremely high from all of the rain we had been experiencing.
If you've been down to Sunset by the Mississippi, you may have noticed the covered wagon on a ferry boat. It was a way back from the river on the grass. Now we see it here in the water! The river was overflowing!
Notice all the twigs and branches washed up on the shore.
Here are a couple random pictures along the river just to show how full it was.
Kendall snapped a picture of the temple from across the river too. So BEAUTIFUL!
Landon of course enjoyed the ride like he always does.

Just Me and Daddy

Landon knows he has the BEST dad! He loves every moment he can be with Daddy.

Prom

Last Saturday was the high school prom. Prom brings back great memories. Mine and Ken's first date together was to the high school prom.
Doesn't Aunt Mary look so beautiful? Landon thought so.
Aunt Mary asked Justin Trapp to the prom. Justin is Kendall's cousin. They both look fabulous!
